Yakutsk. Houses on permafrost...




Permafrost takes approximately 25% of the total ground area of ​​the globe. The history of the permafrost started 1-2 million years ago. The most ancient frozen stratas were found in the Kolyma lowland in the north of Yakutia. Therefore Yakutia called the cradle of the permafrost.

My aunt Yana won the rubber boat...




In Yakutsk, the Days of a hunter were held. I visited the exhibition and sale of trophies, knives, stuffed animals, souvenirs, handicrafts made of different hides. Among the participants were known to hunters, masters of folk crafts and blacksmiths.

Countryside. Part 7. Winter fishing "Kuyuur".




On lake you should find islands of water under ice, where lake's small fishes, crucians and minnows  hibernate...Around is caught by ice tightly...It is considered that "Kuyuur" is one of the dirtiest kind of fishing because not only fish is slopped as a fountain(water is under a big pressure) but also lake's mud sometimes...

Countryside. Part 6. Winter seine fishing...





Winter fishing "Mungkha" is the most mass kind of fishing to crucians... Women  and children take part in it too...Winter day is short and everybody starts working hastily... According to the tradition, it is strictly forbidden for women to touch a net... If woman oversteps a seine, fishing can be cancelled - 
there would be no fortune...
