Winter fishing "Mungkha" is the most mass kind of fishing to crucians... Women and children take part in it too...Winter day is short and everybody starts working hastily... According to the tradition, it is strictly forbidden for women to touch a net... If woman oversteps a seine, fishing can be cancelled -
there would be no fortune...
Preparing the seine for descending under water...
Сutting through the big holes ("Chardaat") in the ice...
One is in the place where the seine will be descend under water...
Another is in the place where it should be pulled out with fishes...
Between two big holes in the ice are cut through small ones longitudinally on both sides...
These small holes are for pulling "WINGS" of the seine (two sides of the seine )
Sometimes there is no fish only sludge...
Everybody waits for mid-seine...
Yeah!! Bayanay bierde!!
