Countryside. Part 7. Winter fishing "Kuyuur".

On lake you should find islands of water under ice, where lake's small fishes, crucians and minnows  hibernate...Around is caught by ice tightly...It is considered that "Kuyuur" is one of the dirtiest kind of fishing because not only fish is slopped as a fountain(water is under a big pressure) but also lake's mud sometimes...

Fishing tackle is called "kuyuur" which looks like butterfly net...

Hole must be narrowed downward...

Sometimes fishes are slopped out with water on ice...

You should put kuyuur in a hole...

And rotate it to make a swirl

Fishes are caught by swirl and get into kuyuur (net)

You should periodically pull out kuyuur with fishes then rotate it again until amount of fishes becomes very little...

Such holes are usually made in different place of a lake and everything is being done again from the beginning...

In old days many poor families were saved from death by starvation with the help of kuyuur... Near our village is a monument of a poor boy which is standing with kuyuur and behind him is the huge beautiful lake...

Child's magazine "Khatan" published an article about my cousins fishing with kuyuur...

They are really fond of fishing any time both in winter and in summer...
